Electric air heater

An electric air heater is a device that converts electrical energy into heat in order to heat large quantities of air. The air heaters from Klöpper-Therm are designed for high load capacity and performance and are therefore used in a wide variety of industrial processes.

The stationary air heaters are often used for various drying processes in the wood, textile, paper and food industry. In chemical, pharmaceutical and petrochemical processes, electric air heaters are used to heat air flows for chemical reactions and other manufacturing processes.

In order to heat air particularly efficiently and reliably, all project-related requirements are already taken into account when designing the heaters. The design and materials used are determined in close consultation with the customer.

To ensure that the appliances can withstand the harsh conditions in an industrial environment, the housings are generally made of stainless steel. To ensure a long service life even at high temperatures, high-performance heating elements are predominantly used to heat the air.

Duct air heater

Particularly large quantities of electrically heated air are required when it comes to storing heat from regeneratively generated electricity. So-called duct air heaters are often used here. These container-sized systems enable the operation of several powerful heating inserts within one device and thus allow a large amount of power to be consumed due to the high electrical output. At times of excess electricity, these systems make an important contribution to grid stability.

High-temperature heater

With electric high-temperature heaters, particularly high temperatures of around 1.000°C can be reached with air. To ensure the safety of the appliances, it is particularly important to carefully select the materials and insulation.

Electric high-temperature heaters are indispensable tools in many high-temperature processes that require precise and reliable heat. They offer numerous advantages in terms of efficiency, cleanliness and control accuracy. By replacing fossil-fueled systems, they make a massive contribution to reducing CO2 emissions.

Special control and monitoring systems with thermostats, PID controllers and temperature sensors ensure precise temperature control and monitoring of the systems. Various safety devices such as overheating protection, thermal switches and emergency shutdown ensure safe operation of the system.

Of course, these systems can be supplied with suitable control cabinets including a thyristor control system on request.
