Klöpper has been based in Dortmund since the company was founded in 1928. We feel closely connected to our customers, suppliers and partners through continuous and mostly long-term cooperation.

2024

Start manufacturing

 in an additional production hall with 1,500m2 of production space equipped with a 20 t crane.

2022

The Swedish NIBE Group has aquired 100% of the shares in Klöpper-Therm.

The NIBE Group, with more than 140 companies worldwide, offers top-class sustainable energy solutions. The aim is to increase energy efficiency and the proportion of renewable energy.

 

OOO ELMESS-KLÖPPERTHERM
in Moscow closes.

OOO Klöpper-Therm

changes its name to OOO ELMESS-KLÖPPERTHERM.

2012

Approval according to ASME

enables access to previously predominantly American-dominated markets

 

Foundation of OOO Klöpper-Therm
as an independent sales office in Moscow, Russia

2007 / 2008

Expansion of the production and office

space by 900 square meters in an adjacent new building

2004 / 2005

Klöpper-Therm buys the cable heater technology from Haldor Topsoe A/S.

These heaters, manufactured exclusively by KT worldwide, round off the extensive product range and underline the company's positioning as a specialist for electrical heating systems for demanding applications.

2000

Generation change in the company management.

Volker Hinz is appointed Managing Director.

1996

The market launch of the UNIPLEX
is followed by development and distribution  of the company's own visualization software.

 

1995

Klöpper- Therm
launches the first UNIPLEX heating controller on the market.

 

Klöpper-Therm further expands production

and adds panel heating to its own production program.

Expansion
of the production facility in Dortmund

Foundation

Spin-off of the heating technology

department and independence under Klöpper-Therm GmbH & Co. Relocation to a new administration building with production hall.

Takeover of the company Elmess,

today Elmess-Thermosystemtechnik GmhH & Co. KG within the group of companies.

Construction of the first in-house

production and administration facility for the electrical, mechanical and heating engineering divisions (expansion in 1981 and 1984)

Appointment
of Alfred Beimdieck and Friedrich Hinz as managing directors.

1967

Death of company founder Eugen Klöpper.
Founding of a limited partnership with company management by Karl-Hugo Klöpper-Waldmann.

1960

Starting to manufacture trace heating systems
and shortly thereafter heat exchanger and apparatus. Reinforcement of the activities in the area of heat engineering. Enlargement of the switchgear construction and assembly.

1956

Expansion of production

to include infrared continuous flow systems and circulating air furnaces for various branches of industry, including the flat glass industry.

1953

Start of in-house switchgear construction

and the manufacture of infrared heating systems and other thermal engineering systems. Start of mechanical engineering.

1945

Resumption
of business activities.
